Work, from a beach
I bet you’ve been working from home a lot recently, like many others Founders Basecampers here.
What I’ve been hearing from some of you, working at Google, Amazon, or in more traditional sectors like Telecom, Media or Banking, is that your companies have been setting up “homeworking first” policies. Meaning that they are working to find a good balance between cutting down office space, while maintaining remote-employees’ engagement and productivity high.
And I’d argue it’s a safe bet that this will get some traction in the coming years. Though, there’s a catch here. From what Home are you working there days?
Look at the new Barbados Welcome Stamp, or the long time running Estonian e-Residency scheme : Why would you pay high rent in high infection risk cities like Beijing, London, or New York when you can work from a Home in a sunny, low cost of living, countryside area?
You and I are demanding to work from any home, including abroad. And traditional staff insurance can’t cope with that at the moment.
So, who’s up for building the employee package that will let companies allow their staff to work remotely, including abroad? And find the best go to market strategy to secure market share quickly?
As usual, hit reply if you want to get working on this one, and we'll peer you with like minded people, and one of our mighty advisors.
